The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) defeated defending champions, Nigeria Customs Service to book a final match ticket in the ongoing Ships & Ports Maritime Cup competition, Shipsandports.com.ng reports.
NIMASA defeated Customs 5-4 in penalty shootout. The second semi-final match was between between Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Navy. The NPA team qualified for the final match of the prestigious and highly competitive tournament on Saturday evening after a hard won victory over 2009 champions, Nigerian Navy.
The match, which ended 1-1 at regulation time, was decided on penalty kicks with NPA emerging winner 5-4.
NPA will face the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) in the final match on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. It is the first time both teams will face each other.
